I am trying to show my daughter the names of the different birds in our garden and with the foot of snow we had last night I have been feeding them today to see who turns up but we have this really ferocious Robin that defends its territory like a mad thing. It will even take on the much bigger Magpies and Crows but has a thing for a Hedge Sparrow that it seems to watch at a distance. Fascinating watching them and my daughter thinks it,s great.

The robin holds territory all year round, very few birds do this - so will defend it both by singing and trying to drive away any intruders Title: Re: Cwmbran Boating Lake - Red Crested Pochard Post by: bymatt666 (byron) on January 16, 2010, 12:14:00 AM beautiful colours that bird has si..... fab pics too..... is'nt nature amazing !......byron
