As promised yesterday, these are the brooches found actually on the cultivated part of the field, the farmer was seeding at the time and as I left another tractor was preparing to roll flat, that means a return visit next week as conditions would be perfect. Once again one of my favourite types of brooch was rescued from the farm machinery in the form of a nice early Iron Age, La T’ene III, followed by the other brooch dating 1-2nd century.  Wink Wink
