Decided to work an area opposite a barrow, dead flat as seeded and on a south slope, first signal almost on top was the brooch an early one 1st century, followed by a  bronze Duro Stater  just got to find the staters brothers and sisters now Grin (Silver & Gold) Roll Eyes you never know Wink the deer were a long way off, just before they got my scent and scarpered .

A good couple of days you've had Paul and well done on the stater regardless of the metal, I've got to say that both the "stylus" look more like awls to me as they don't seem to have the classic flattened ends for smoothing (rubbing out)  Wink
