Back out to some set a side again and came up with a Duro' debased bronze Stater posssible the worst one I have ever found however a Stater never the less, some years ago in an adjacent field I found 9x bronze Staters reported an handed back to me some time later. Also popped up was this Chape!! would like an oppinon on its date it looks early medieval possibly saxon.

Nice finds. I would say that is an Anglo-Saxon (9th-10th century) strap-end.
