I got permission last year to detect on an Elizabethian property being renovated. The owner had drained the pond, so it was on with the boots and up to my neck in it. You couldn't have got a more historic house than this.

Apart from a few lead weights, not a lot turned up, although he had put the spoil in the corner of the field 10 ft deep and was hoping to level it when it had drained, so fingers crossed.
