Hi Big E

Its not that theyre no good they are on par with the Tekentics the Sherlock and Scanmaster
If id paid nearly £90 for a Garrett id be afraid to leave it laying around or leaving it at an hole that ive done many times with my Scanmaster lol

I'd say they a are second division behind the Garret and the pistol probe , but better than the rest,

Big E no worries, i sold it for £36 in the end

Hi Big E

Well they all got pros and cons really,
the Whites Bullseye and the Teknetics are the same machine Just a bit of badge engineering  as they call it.
Also the Sherlock and the Scanmaster are the same.
Ive had a Scanmaster for years its not the prettiest or the most ergonomic but it.s can detect a coin sizes item at roughly 2 inchs and larger items a bit deeper and the buzzer is loud enough to hear with your headphones on unlike some.
Id say the Bullseye and the tekentics have a brighter light which is a real bonus if your hard of hearing .

bet your really confused now lol
All the best
Phil

Yeah Phil, you managed added to the confusion alright. LOL

Only kidding, thanks for the input, it is much appreciated.
I think I may just go for one of the cheaper options to start off with (keep my eyes peeled) and see how the detecting goes from there. Hopefully I will need to update my Ace 250 in the near future too.  :)

ian if i were you i'd go for thw bullseye 2 , the quality of buil is there ,and you get the Whites warranty i've tried the sherlock and the DTS , and i was not impressed , i used my friends , and too be honest they did not last long , now he has a bullseye and he's happy with it , don't go for the really cheap ones or you will regret it.
                     cheers Mike

I think you got to treat the sherlock £26  type with a bit of care
Ive heard loads say theres have stopped working
Mines been wrapped in cling film from new roughly 2 3 year old
They do suffer from to much moisture but i think thats the case with all non waterproof Pointers.

all the best
Phil
